  THE DANGEROUS POLITICAL DEVELOPMENTS IN KISORO DISTRICT AND THE EMERGING THREAT OF GENOCIDE May 26, 2025 It is with grave concern and profound urgency that I rise to bring attention to a clear and present danger unfolding in the Kisoro District, south western part of Uganda, a dangerous resurgence of ethnic based political extremism that mirrors the ominous shadows of the 1994 Rwandan Genocide, history is not merely repeating itself, it is being resurrected by the very actors and ideologies that once drowned the Great Lakes region in blood. Peace jokes not peace talks is what took place in Luanda and Nairobi! Everyone globally is aware of what has been happening in Eastern DR Congo this recent past but when we see the party's claiming to be mediating the peaceful resolution to the conflict and ignoring M23 the one and only group fighting for a just cause, we wonder what their agenda may be. Let's first and foremost take a brief trip back history lane to give a hint of what is the root cause of the current Congolese conflict; this all started in the early 1990's when Rwandese refugees (RPA) launched an armed struggle to return to their motherland after over 30yrs in exile in Uganda, Zaire that time, Burundi and other African countries that had offered them refugee.   Roaming Genocide in Eastern DRC As the Congolese armed forces (FARDC) along with their genocidal partners FDLR lose miserably at the battle front to the disciplined, professional M23, genocide against Rwandofones and particularly Tutsi is top on their agenda. Just two days ago a policeman in the Congolese national police Gasanabandi Amani was "arrested" by  FARDC/FDLR in broad daylight, tied up and taken to civilians who were given ordered to KILL him in cold blood in broad daylight while filming the inhuman act. His only crime was being TUTSI. Recently in South Kivu a senior army officer was dragged out of a vehicle killed and eaten by civilians with his fellow soldiers doing but filming with smiles over their evil ugly faces as though nothing wrong was happening. The same happened in Kalemie where a civilian Munyamulenge massacred roasted and eaten as the police watched and filmed. Losing DR Congo and it's army opting to train interahamwe like youth to fight for them DR Congo and it's armed forces the FARDC have decided to start recruiting and training youth in Eastern DRC to fight in the war they themselves have lost miserably at the battle front against well trained, disciplined and fighters with a cause the mighty M23. The DR Congo leadership and their disorganized armed forces who of course have been taken over by terrorist armed groups like FDLR, RUD Urunana, Mayi mayi Nyatura and others have learnt nothing and forgotten nothing since the start of the fighting.  Instead of swallowing the humble pie and dissociating themselves from terrorist groups and sitting at the negotiation table with genuine Congolese citizens fighting for their rights and finding a peaceful end to the conflict; they're still blaming neighbors and continuing to spread hateful propaganda against Rwandofones.   Defeated coalition forces (FARDC, FDLR, Mayi mayi Nyatura and others) wrecking havoc as they flee! As the fighting in Eastern DRC particularly in North Kivu goes into it's second week(since the breach of the last ceasefire by the government of Kinshasa), the defeated indisciplined coalition forces are wrecking havoc against the civilians and their property whom of course FARDC was meant to guard and protect. One won't be wrong to say that they have learnt and adopted FDLR and other terrorist groups' modus operandi where they kill, rape, rob and torture innocent civilians wherever they pass. This however has justified M23's cause to take up arms and fight to liberate North Kivu from these blood thirsty killers marauding as government soldiers and their criminal partners. This has however won M23 support from the civilian population in the region and this is a big win for the liberation cause.   DR Congo refuses to Talk Peace and opts for Aggression against peace loving M23. They say old habits die hard, this statement is so true when it comes to DR Congo and it's weak leadership. There had been relative peace for the past months until end of last week when Congolese leadership and their armed forces (FARDC) of course under the direct command of their coalition partners the extremist terrorist groups; FDLR, Mayi Mayi Nyatura, RUD Urunana and others decided to ignore the ceasefire olive branch they had been offered by M23 and attacked M23 positions.   DR Congo's dumb Leaders and Diplomats strip themselves naked before the international Community! Calling DR Congo's diplomats dumb is an understatement considering how careless, uninformed and shortsighted they are whenever they're before the international Community. I will share with you all incidences where they proven all that was said in the introduction very true; During the recently concluded UN summit in New York, the DR Congo's diplomat at the UN Security council accused Rwanda of its support to M23 referring to what he called the UN Mapping report he couldn't remember (Or knew nothing about) which of course showed he doesn't do any research whatsoever or is outright not informed.
