What M23 can teach the US about Failures of DR Congo’s Government?

The M23 found when the country was in an economic and political mess, largely self-inflicted by terrorists especially the FDRL among many others, the corrupt government officials and the corrupt generals of the FARDC.

The M23 is aimed at driving the country's economy to long term trend growth rate like other developing countries more than it has ever been these past years of political crisis.

The M23 is in a drive for the recovery of the tourism sector which is probably the most affected by the Covid-19 pandemic and they have so far set out strategy and best approach that could see the sector bounce back in the Virunga National Park.

There has always been little chance of DRC’s security forces winning either the fight, or the public’s trust because they have failed to deliver long-promised plans to offer the east’s armed groups incentives to disarm, demobilize, and reintegrate productively into their communities but instead joined hands with some of them especially FDRL, RUD Urunana among others to kill innocent civilians which M23 said that enough is enough and today unity is prospering.

The M23 have shown the courageous, patient work on the underlying issues through preaching togetherness and unity for example communities have come together to implement local security plans, financed by their selves and also they are holding serious dialogue within villages to boost the unity and cooperation in their area which the Kinshasa regime failed.
